Crumball Rally
MISSION IMPOSSIBLE - 20 - 22 JULY 2012

What is Mission Impossible 2012?

A driving tour that won't cost you a fortune in time or money, but will give you a trip to remember, driving on some of Europe's finest roads (in some of Europe's worst cars!).

While we may not give you an M.I. opportunity to "Save the World", we do give teams the chance to raise money for many great worthwhile causes, and although we welcome, and encourage teams to do the event for charity, we don't make it a condition of entry.

How Long does it take?

3 days for the rally itself. Allowing for a days travel to the start, and another day to dispose of your car and fly home, 3 days driving on the event itself is probably just about enough!

When will it take place?

The rally will start near Reims, France, around 9am on Friday morning 20th July 2012 and end in Prague on Sunday evening 22nd July.

Support en route

Sorry but no! Surely you really wouldn’t appreciate it if we deprived you of the uncertainty each day on whether your chosen vehicle will start in the morning let alone break down miles from anywhere, on a mountain pass in a strange country! Our advice is to travel light, and the less of you that are in the car, the easier it will be to thumb a lift with the other Crumballers.

What do you do each day besides driving?

Aside from the ever present challenge of hoping your chosen chariot doesn’t "self-destruct in the next 5 seconds", we give you and your passengers a couple of tasks to perform en route, but if you just want to "tom cruise" through the countryside without taking part then that's fine by us. Remember rule number 1,...this is categorically not a race across Europe, but a leisurely drive by likeminded people, and there will be no advantage in arriving first.

The challenge of coaxing your chosen wreck to the finish point should be reward enough but at the final night's presentation ceremony, a cash prize will be awarded to the team scoring the most in each of the daily tasks and an additional prize will also be awarded by vote, for the best "pimp my ride" paint scheme, and at the organisers discretion anything else that takes our fancy. Everyone is really a winner and each participant will also be provided with an appropriately rubbish medal memento on finishing.

The route and stop over points will be confirmed via the forum and email, so that you can book your hotels, camping etc. well in advance. Approximately a month before the start of the rally we will provide your rally guide which will contain final route details etc. and any advance task requirements (!) etc.
